Senator O'KEEFE (Tasmania) . - Under this clause, I take it that if, in an estate of £6,000, there are ten beneficiaries who are to receive £200 cadi, and ten other beneficiaries who are to receive £400 each, the ten who receive £200 each will be required to pay nothing in the way of duty, whilst the remainder will have to pay the full duty.


Senator Pearce - The honorable senator's assumption is wrong.


Senator Millen - The ten who receive £200 each will pay less than their share, while the ten who receive more than £200 each will pay more than their share.
