The PRESIDENT - Whether newspapers publish a full, or, in fact, any report of the proceedings of Parliament is a matter entirely for the proprietors of those newspapers. I do not think that any good purpose can be served by our making any complaint whether they do or do not publish reports of our proceedings. My personal opinion - and I take it that that is what the honorable senator desires really to know - is that the incident should now be regarded as closed, and that no further reference should be made to the matter.

Senator Long - It is closed until the House Committee deals with it.
