Senator PEARCE - If there has been any reduction in the pay of these men it is entirely without my knowledge. I shall have inquiries made into the statement of the honorable senator.

Senator Lt Colonel O'LOGHLIN - I asked the Minister of Defence last week a question with regard to the reduction of pay of motor drivers and mechanics in the Expeditionary Forces, and he promised to get further information on the subject for me. Has the honorable senator any further information to give with respect to the alleged reduction of these men's pay?

Senator PEARCE - Up to this morning I have not received any communicabion. I have again put myself in communication with, the authorities, and have asked that the information should be expedited.
