Senator PEARCE - I believe the appointment of Mr. Barr has terminated, or is about to terminate. I cannot commit myself off-hand to get his opinion on the proposals of his senior officer. I am not in a position to know whether Mr. Barr is competent to report on that work.

Senator McDOUGALL - Will the Minister accept the written statement of Mr. Barr as evidence on the plan of Mr. Cutler for launching the Brisbane.

Senator PEARCE - I shall be quite willing to accept a statement from Mr. Barr and to give it consideration.
