Senator PEARCE (Western Australia) (Minister of Defence) .- When I spoke before, I told the honorable senator that an instruction had been issued to every branch of the Defence Department, but, nevertheless, he said just now, "That is the kind of treatment we can expect from a Labour Ministry - that union men are not to be allowed to talk of unionism to other men." He implied that my statement was inaccurate, that I had not issued an instruction, and that I would not see it carried out. If he believes me to be so insincere, no words of mine will change that opinion, and, therefore, I do not propose to make any further reply.
