Senator KEATING (Tasmania) . - With regard to my other contingent amendments to strike out " Official Receiver," and put in "Registrar," I shall not press them at all, but accept the suggestion of the Minister to let the matter go, on the understanding that when the Bill is carried to the report stage it will not be pushed through until proper consideration has been given to this and other questions which have arisen during the discussion. I quite understand that, at this juncture, the Department of the Attorney-General is working at very high pressure in connexion with some of our legislation, extraordinary in consequence of the war, and that, therefore, we could not expect the same amount of consideration to be given just now to matters of this character as to others which are more urgent.

Clause 123 -

(1)   A trustee shall not, under any circumstances whatever -

(b)   make any arrangement for giving up, or give up, any part of his remuneration, either as receiver, manager, or trustee to the bankrupt, or' any solicitor or other person employed about the bankruptcy; or
