Senator NEEDHAM (for Senator de Largie) asked the Minister representing the Minister of Home Affairs, upon notice -

1.   How many bores have been put down on the route of the transcontinental railway between Kalgoorlie and the South Australian border ?

2.   What are the names of the places at which fresh or stock water has been found?

3.   How much of the route has yet to be prospected for water?
