Senator PEARCE - The answers are -

1.   The General Officer Commanding acted upon the advice of the Director-General of Medical Services. 2 to 7. I am not in a position to say, the General Officer Commanding, Australian Imperial Force, being at present en route for Europe. There is no General Officer Commanding at present in the Commonwealth.

8.   The Acting Director-General of Medical Services, however, strongly advises that no alteration be made in the present practice, with which recommendation I concur.
