Senator GARDINER (NEW SOUTH WALES) (Vice-President of the Executive Council) - The Deputy Postmaster-General, Perth, has furnished the following answers: -

1.   No; but a once a week roadside, ToodyayYulgaringBolgart, has been in existence for many years. In addition to this roadside service, mails have been conveyed twice weekly to Bolgart by rail since February last.

2.   Yes, a petition was received for the alteration of the route, and for the frequency of the service to bo increased to twice weekly.

3.   Answered by No. 1.

4.   £87 per annum for contract referred to in No. 1.

5.   Yes; this is the service mentioned in reply to No. 1.

6.   The papers on the subject are being obtained from the Deputy Postmaster-General, Perth, and will be laid on the table of the Library in due course.
