Senator McGREGOR (South Australia) . - I would point out to Senator Rae that any honorable senator can call for a division on the motion for the first reading, and so bring every honorable senator then on the premises into the chamber. Thus all but those who are intentionally absent from the Senate for the day will have an opportunity of voting on it.
