Senator RAE (New South Wales) . - I wish to bring forward a real difficulty which may arise. Sometimes we do not keep the perfect silence which we are supposed to do, and in the middle of more or less din an honorable senator may mistake the tenor of the motion, and mistakenly say, "Yes," or "No." I think that in order to protect an honorable senator against inadvertently falling into an error, there should be this further safeguard, " unless prior to "the division he asks leave to withdraw his vote."
