Senator MILLEN - The regulations are now under the consideration of the Government, and I merely desire to add that the Ministry will inform the Senate of any steps they propose to take in that direction.

Senator RAE - Arising out of that answer, I ask the Minister of Defence whether, if it is intended to issue any new regulation under the Electoral Act, he will, before the prorogation of Parliament, lay such regulation on the table of the Senate so as to give honorable senators an opportunity either of affirming or of negativing it?

Senator MILLEN - I have already stated that it is the intention of the Government to inform Parliament of any steps they intend to take in that direction.
