Senator MILLEN (New South Wales) . - 1 am not going to say that a wrong thing was done, but if measles is not a quarantinable disease, I am curious to know under what authority the Minister stepped in, took charge of the boat at the request of the State Government, and sent her back to the quarantine station?

Senator Findley - Because they desired us to do so.

Senator MILLEN - Not under the authority of any law?

Senator Findley - No.: we acted in the interests of the public health.

Senator MILLEN - That is what I wanted to get at.
