Senator ST LEDGER (Queensland) - - As the Minister has said, the Bill does meet the departmental objections or difficulties; and I am very pleased to say that, so far as the printing trade is concerned, it meets with their approval. I think that, to some extent, it has arisen out of a very small deputation which I had the honor of introducing to the late PostmasterGeneral, Mr. Thomas. Various matters were discussed on that occasion, and this measure makes good the Minister's declarations. So far as I know, as the result of inquiry, the Bill is satisfactory. There are some matters which are not connected with the Bill, but which possibly the present Postmaster- General will also consider.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Bill read a second time, and reported from Committee without amendment; report adopted.

Standing Orders suspended, and Bill read a third time.
