Senator McCOLL (VICTORIA) asked the Minister of Defence, upon notice -

1.   If he has observed in the press statements that the work of students in technical and other schools is being interfered with very considerably by their attendance at military drill?

2.   As examinations are coming on, and the necessity of regular attendance at these schools is urgent, will he, if application be made, grant relief from drills till the end of the year, and permit them to be taken up during the vacation of the school?
