Senator RAE (New South Wales) . - I suggest that we should strike out the words "or out of." Without wishing to reiterate what I have previously said it seems to me absolutely ridiculous and presumptuous for us to punish persons for selling medals which they have received for services rendered in other parts of the world. No case whatever has been made out for applying the provisions of the measure to medals received for services rendered out of Australia. While it may be a perfectly correct thing for Parliament to enact laws to govern our own Defence Forces in the matter of the disposal of naval and military decorations, to attempt to rule the world is, to my mind, altogether too big an order. I therefore move -

That the words " or out of " be left out.
