Senator STEWART (Queensland) . - This matter was threshed out on a former occasion, when the VicePresident of the Executive Council took exactly the opposite view from that which he has just submitted.

Senator McGregor - Oh, no, I did not.

Senator STEWART - I remember the circumstances well, because I took part in the debate. I hold the same opinion now as I did before. It does not matter two straws whether the amendment is made or not. The Bill, as it stands, would, in my opinion, be just as good as the Bill will be if amended. That being the case, I have no objection to the amendment.

Amendment agreed to.

Clause, as amended, agreed to.

Clause 27 - (1.)
