Senator McGREGOR (South Australia) (Vice-President of the Executive Council) .- In answer to the Leader of the Opposition, I wish to say that it is the intention of the Government to proceed with the Land Tax Assessment Bill until the third-reading stage has been reached. It has been found that when the minds of honorable senators are concentrated upon a particular piece of legislation, it is better to proceed with its consideration uninterruptedly.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Senate adjourned at 11.9 p.m.
