Senator McCOLL (Victoria) .- I wish to know whether the term " deadweight cargo " is understood to apply to a special kind of cargo?

Senator Guthrie - All dead-weight cargo is taken by weight, not by measurement.

Senator McCOLL - Last night the honorable senator did not mention wheat as dead-weight cargo, though he mentioned ores. If the term is well understood, so that there can be no dispute as to the meaning, I have no objection to the amendment.
