Senator ST LEDGER (Queensland) . - The Vice-President of the Executive Council has informed us that the papers covering the questions to be asked at the census will be before us for debate to-morrow night. I wish to ask the honorable senator whether, during that debate, it will be competent for the Senate to strike out some of the questions which at present appear on the awfully ridiculous census papers which are proposed ? The question may be submitted for discussion in such a way that we would be unable to take action to strike out some of the questions which appear upon a paper which is so ridiculous that it would disgrace the Commonwealth if it were made public.
