Mr SPEAKER -I have no authority to require Ministers to be in attendance at question time. I call the Leader of the House.

Mr Sinclair - For the information of honourable members and because of the completely irresponsible manner displayed -

Mr Bryant - I rise to a point of order, Mr Speaker -

Mr Sinclair - ... by the honourable member, I advise the House -

Mr Bryant - Under what standing order is the Minister addressing the House?

Mr SPEAKER -Order! The honourable gentleman will resume his seat.

Mr Bryant - Which one of us?

Mr SPEAKER -Order! The honourable member for Wills will resume his seat. The Leader of the House is speaking because I called upon him to do so. I understand that he wishes to respond to the point of order raised by the honourable member for Shortland. I call the Leader of the House.

Mr Sinclair - The father of the Minister for Transport died last night and, naturally, the Minister is unable to be in the House this morning. I think all members of the House would wish to extend sympathy to Mr Nixon and his family on his father's death.

Mr Morris - I rise to a point of order. With your indulgence, Mr Speaker, I would like to take the opportunity to withdraw any personal reflection in respect of the Minister for Transport. I was not aware of what had happened. I offer my sympathy to his family. A different situation applied in relation to last

Friday. I certainly was not aware of what had happened yesterday.
