Mr BEAZLEY (Fremantle) (Minister for Education) - Mr Chairman, the Committee will recollect that there was some confusion at the time I moved an amendment to clause 13 because the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Snedden) had come into the chamber just prior to that and raised a question of privilege. I understand that the Opposition wants certain amendments it has moved to clause 13 recommitted to enable a vote to be taken on them. I also understand that the amendment I have moved has to be disposed of first before any recommittal action can take place. I presume that this will not mean that we will be going through the whole debate again. The honourable member for Wannon (Mr Malcolm Fraser) has indicated that the Opposition supports the amendment 1 have moved to clause 13.

Amendment agreed to.
