Mr WENTWORTH (Mackellar) - I wish to make a personal explanation.


Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER -Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?


Mr WENTWORTH - Yes, Mr Deputy Speaker. 1 refused leave for one purpose only, namely, that I wished to look up some references. This motion came on unexpectedly. I was not prepared for it and I propose to continue my remarks at the (first convenient opportunity.


Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER -Order! I think the honourable member has made his personal explanation.


Mr Daly - He is a dingo.


Mr Lynch - That is an extremely unparliamentary remark.


Mr Wentworth - I ask for a withdrawal of that remark.


Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER - The remark is unparliamentary and I ask the Minister to withdraw it.


Mr Daly - Mr Deputy Speaker, I always set an example to the Opposition, and I withdraw the remark.


Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER - Order! The time allotted for general business has expired. The honourable member for Mackellar will have leave to continue his speech when the debate is resumed.
