Dr PATTERSON (Dawson) (Minister for Northern Development) - I seek leave to make a personal explanation.

Mr SPEAKER - Does the Minister claim to have been misrepresented?

Dr PATTERSON - 1 have been misrepresented. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Snedden) accused the Minister for Transport (Mr Charles Jones) of using what one would assume to be bad language about me in the Cabinet room - language which could no< be repeated here. Despite the fact that the Leader of the Opposition has withdrawn his remark, he obviously believes it to be true. I can assure him that it is not true in any sense. This type of scurrilous word slinging should be exposed. I challenge the Leader of the Opposition to state the words which he believes to have been used and also to name the person - this is very important - who told him of their alleged use. If he does not do this the House can judge for itself the veracity of the Leader of the Opposition.

Mr SPEAKER -Order! That is not a personal explanation.

Question put:

That the motion (Mr Snedden's) be agreed to.
