Mr MARTIN (BANKS, NEW SOUTH WALES) - My question is addressed to the Minister for Health, ls it a fact that at present there is no Commonwealth Government financial support for research into the disease of multiple sclerosis which is a chronic disease of the central nervous system? Does the Minister consider that it is psychologically important and most desirable for research to be performed in our own country into the causes of this disease, which is aptly named creeping paralysis? Will the Minister take action to provide Commonwealth finance for the necessary research into the cause of multiple sclerosis with the object of finding a cure for the disease?
