Mr GORTON - I am afraid I cannot assure the honourable member that 1 remember some naval exercise, which, I think he said, was scheduled to take place before the last election, off the-


Mr Webb - I said foreshadowed.


Mr GORTON - Or whether one was foreshadowed. The honourable member might know whether it was. I am afraid that this was not a matter which came to my attention. As for the development of Cockburn Sound, the House will remember that this was part of the policy placed before the people by this Government and steps are being taken to develop Cockburn Sound. I suggest that if the honourable member wishes to know what steps already have been taken and what plans are in hand for this project, he should ask the Minister for Defence with whose portfolio it would rest.
