Mr FitzPATRICK - My question is directed to the Minister for Shipping and Transport. 1 ask: ls the Minister aware of the confusion and resentment which have been caused by the method adopted in relation to the booking of seats on the Indian-Pacific rail service and the obtaining of concession rates by pensioners? Is it true that Broken Hill people who wish to travel on this train to Sydney can book a seat only half an hour before the train departs? Is the Minister aware that the same procedure applies even in the case of critical illness in a person's family? Is the Minister also aware that pensioners are confused and resentful because they have been informed that the only concession fares they can get on this train are for the section from Port Augusta to Kalgoorlie and that to obtain this concession they must first pay the full amount and then send their medical card -
