Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER - Order! The honourable member for Boothby will withdraw the remark.

Mr McLEAY - I withdraw it. The remarks mentioned--

Mr Bryant - I take a point of order upon the point of order the honourable member for Boothby has raised and the manner in which he is raising it. He referred in insulting terms to the honourable member for Grayndler.

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER - I have already have asked the honourable member for Boothby to withdraw the remark and he has done so. The honourable member for Boothby now is claiming that he has been misrepresented and he is entitled to speak on that matter.

Mr McLEAY - The interview that was referred to by the honourable member for Grayndler did not occur in South Africa. That country has no television service. The television interview occurred in Rhodesia. I was attacking Communist subversion in Australia - in the trade union movement, the churches and the universities. If I had known what I know now, I would have attacked it in the Australian Labor Party too.
