Mr FULTON (LEICHHARDT, QUEENSLAND) - My question, addressed to the Minister for Shipping and Transport, refers to the maritime accident which happened to a tanker off Wednesday Island which is in my electorate. It concerns the damage that could be done to the cultured pearl industry, the fishing industry and the Great Barrier Reef. Was the Government prepared to cope with such a disaster? What measures were taken and have they been effective?
