Mr Daly y asked the Postmaster-General, upon notice -

1.   How many telephone applications are outstanding in Erskineville, Newtown, Marrickville, Lewisham, Dulwich Hill, Summer Hill, Petersham and Stanmore?

2.   What is the (a) longest and (b) average period that applications have been outstanding?

Mr Hulme - The answer to the honorable member's questions is as follows -

(a)   The number of applications for telephone service which were deferred pending major extensions of plant in each of the localities mentioned as at 18th March, together with details of the longest period of deferment involved are as follows -


(b)   Average waiting time for the provision of services is not recroded.
