Mr BIRRELL (PORT ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - I ask the Minister for Defence whether in Sydney yesterday he stated: " It is unfortunate that the burden of defending Australia should fall on too narrow a front of the Australian people. Perhaps we may see it widened ". If so, would he mind saying whether this proposed widening means that the Government is now contemplating conscripting all males between 18 and 25 years of age?
