Mr SWARTZ (DARLING DOWNS, QUEENSLAND) (Minister for Civil Aviation) - This matter of the cancellation of a service on Monday nights has already been raised with me by some of the honorable member's colleagues and investigations are being carried out at the present time. This matter is not directly concerned with the overall rationalisation situation although it has some bearing on it. 1 can give an assurance to the honorable member that the matter of schedules generally, and particularly the services usually patronised by parliamentarians from Western Australia, have caused a degree of concern. It is not a simple matter to rectify the situation because of obvious problems in relation to peak hours, but I hope in the near future to undertake a further investigation of the whole problem and to arrive at some solution of it. I have referred the specific problem of services on Monday nights to the two airline operators concerned and I hope to have some information in the near future.
