Mr GRAY (CAPRICORNIA, QUEENSLAND) - My question is addressed to the Minister for Defence and is supplementary to a previous question about an Anzac Medal. When the Minister states that too long a time has elapsed to justify the issue of an Anzac medal, is he aware that the Government of Belgium has issued, 51 years after the event, a medal in connection with the defence of Antwerp and that British troops who took part in that campaign have been permitted to accept the medal? When the Minister states that the issue of an Anzac medal to Australians would be unfair to the troops of other nations who served on Gallipoli, does he consider that the action of France in awarding a Gallipoli medal to French troops is unfair to Australians who also served there?
