Mr Reynolds s asked the Minister for Territories, upon notice -

1.   How many non-indigenous persons joined the Public Service of Papua and New Guinea as

(a)   primary; and

(b)   secondary teachers in each of the last five years?

2.   Over the same period how many of these teachers resigned from the service?


Mr Barnes - The answers to the honorable member's questions are as follows -
