Mr MINOGUE (WEST SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Is the Minister for Civil Aviation aware of the recent interruption to the flying boat service to Lord Howe Island, due to inclement weather over the island resulting in damage to the flying boat? Are the Minister and his Department waiting for a fatal accident on this service before providing a landing strip on the island? If not, why are my repeated representations for such a landing strip being ignored?
