Mr GIBSON (DENISON, TASMANIA) - I direct a question to the Prime Minister. As the right honorable gentleman safely guided the country along the road to a smooth change over to decimal currency, will he ask the National Standards Commission to consider whether we should use the metric system of weights and measures? I also ask that the Commission have particular regard to whether the advantages of such a change would justify the cost and dislocation that would occur during the period of conversion and whether partial decimalisation of our existing system of weights and measures would be more desirable.
