Mr ADERMANN (FISHER, QUEENSLAND) (Minister for Primary Industry) - I have not seen the statement referred to by the honorable member, but if he is concerned about its effect upon the meat industry he can forget about that. The fishing industry will not be damaged either, because there is scope for expansion in the industry, as Australia still has to import substantial quantities of various types of fish to meet its requirements. The recent Fisheries Conference attended by six State Ministers and myself was most successful. The Conference considered means of protecting the industry in every way and the honorable member can be assured that everything possible will be done for the industry.
