Mr LUCHETTI (Macquarie) .- The Weipa Development Agreement Bill 1965 seeks to ratify and legalise an agreement between the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of Queensland with respect to work at the harbour of the important centre of Weipa. It provides for the deepening of the channel into Albatross Bay and the extension of wharf facilities and other services required for the handling of bauxite from an important part of Australia at Cape York Peninsula. A loan of £1,635,000 is to be made to the State of Queensland, commencing on 15th July 1967, at the long term bond rate and it will be for a period of 30 years. In the Budget Speech of the Treasurer (Mr. Harold Holt) it was announced that-
