Mr E JAMES HARRISON (BLAXLAND, NEW SOUTH WALES) - My question is directed to the Treasurer. I ask: Does he recall that in May last he indicated the intention of the Government to introduce a bill to amend the Commonwealth Employees' Furlough Act to correct longstanding injustices relating to the long service leave entitlement of officers who return to the Public Service after losing more than one year of service as a result of retirement because of invalidity? Will the right honorable gentleman endeavour to have the necessary measure prepared during the forthcoming recess with the object of introducing it early in the next sessional period of the Parliament?
