Mr L R JOHNSON (HUGHES, NEW SOUTH WALES) - I ask the Minister for National Development a question. Has he seen reports that 300 million tons of coking coal have been located under the Royal National Park south of Sydney and in an off shore area near Cronulla and Coledale? Will he confer with the New South Wales Government so that, rather than have these deposits handed over to some private company or to overseas investors, a public authority will be authorised to mine them, thereby ensuring that the public derives some benefit from the exploitation of these resources?
