Mr CREAN (Melbourne Ports) . - I was interested to hear the honorable member for Parramatta (Mr. Bowen) suggest earlier that new clause 37 was stronger than both the monopolisation clause, which existed previously in the Australian Industries Preservation Act, and the amendment that the Opposition proposed this afternoon. I may have missed the Attorney-General's full explanation of the clause and I am still at a loss to understand why the words in the original Bill "in a line of trade or commerce" have been replaced by the words " goods of a particular description ". Perhaps the Attorney-General can clear up this aspect.
