Mr WHITLAM (WERRIWA, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Do the Minister for Trade and Industry and officers of his Department believe that Australia's trade position will be assisted if wool growers carry the reserve prices referendum? Has the Minister's attention been drawn to a letter published after his departure for overseas in which the Minister for Supply stated that he sincerely hoped that the reserve prices plan would be thrown out and that the referendum would fail? If so, does the right honorable gentleman consider that the letter is a breach of ministerial responsibility and Cabinet solidarity?
