Mr ADERMANN (FISHER, QUEENSLAND) (Minister for Primary Industry) - It is an open inquiry, but there are times when the committee may seek evidence which obviously is confidential to the person concerned. The committee has every right to obtain that evidence and treat it as confidential. If the committee deems it necessary to obtain such information to help it in arriving at its conclusions, why should it not do so? Why should not the committee have the right to hear evidence in camera?
