Mr BIRD (BATMAN, VICTORIA) - I address a question to the Postmaster-General. Is he aware that there is a growing public feeling against the policy of the broadcasting' stations in devoting the major part of their broadcasting time to the playing of pop music, which caters generally only for the younger section of the community, whereas the time devoted to music suitable for people of more mature age is of small proportions? Will the Minister request the Australian Broadcasting Control Board to discuss this matter with the radio stations in order to ensure that programmes are prepared to cater for all musical tastes?
