Mr BUCHANAN (MCMILLAN, VICTORIA) - My question is directed to the Acting Prime Minister. As import licensing still applies over practically the whole field of textiles, and as the Australian Textile Council has informed the right honorable gentleman of the reasons for the present depressed condition of the industry, will he consider reducing the existing import quotas by, say, 50 per cent., unless the licence holders involved are prepared to place orders with local mills, on a proportionate basis, that would allow their trained hands and their machinery, at present idle, to be put into production again?
