Mr L R JOHNSON (HUGHES, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Is the Prime Minister aware that oil companies are at present endeavouring to obtain authority for the development of additional refineries in the historic Kurnell Peninsula in close proximity to the landing place of Captain Cook? Has he yet had an opportunity to visit Kurnell, the birthplace of European civilization in Australia? If not, will he take the first opportunity to do so? Will the right honorable gentleman examine the possibility of the Commonwealth acquiring a substantial part of the land there for dedication as a national park and sanctuary, and so preserve this historic spot and lovely bushland area for the everlasing benefit of all Australians?
