Mr CREAN (Melbourne Ports) .- I am still in some doubt about funeral benefits. It seems to me that the question has been settled on the basis that it is not insurance because it is excluded. I repeat that there seems to be a real need for pointing out clearly to the community that it is not insurance. If that were done, those who might go into it unwittingly might perhaps be protected against themselves. At one stage it was quite an extensive field, and merely to exclude it does not seem to me to be a good social solution.

Mr Harold Holt - I will undertake to give some further consideration to the matter.

Bill agreed to.

Bill reported without amendment; report adopted.
