Mr SNEDDEN (BRUCE, VICTORIA) - Is the Minister for Labour and National Service aware that what is described as a regulation strike is being conducted by the Australian Railways Union in Victoria? Is it a fact that this strike is a serious interference with the economy of Victoria and is a frustration of public convenience by the dislocation of an essential service? Is it a fact that this strike was undertaken after the refusal by the Senior Conciliation Commissioner to grant union claims? Will the Minister inform the House whether the union has utilized the appeal provisions of the relevant act?
