Mr TIMSON (HIGINBOTHAM, VICTORIA) - My question is addressed to the Minister for Trade. Can the Minister confirm recent reports that Ministers representing seven European countries, namely Austria, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, have agreed to a convention setting up a new economic grouping to be called the European Free Trade Association? Will the Minister indicate how the arrangements covered by that convention differ from the arrangements that have already been entered into by Belgium, France, West Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands? Will the Minister state what will be the effect of the arrangements made at Stockholm on the preferences Australia receives at present in the United Kingdom?
