Sir GARFIELD BARWICK (Parramatta) (Attorney-General) . - May I take this opportunity of endorsing what was said by the honorable member for Mitchell (Mr. Wheeler), in which I am sure the Leader of the Opposition (Dr. Evatt) will join - that this has been a very onerous task for you, Mr. Chairman. This is a very complicated bill. It is a bill about which we all felt fairly keenly at some stage or another. The maintenance of the order and dignity of the committee in your hands has been beyond criticism or reproach. The handling of the bill right through the committee stage has been a credit to you.
